Paper Title :: Redefining Motherhood: Maternal Expectations and Disappointments in Toni Morrison’s Beloved
Author Name :: Dr. Najlaa Hosny Ameen Mohammed
Country :: Saudi Arabia
Page Number :: 01-07
Motherhood is a revered and influential period of an individual‘s life, and the esteemed virtue of compassion is a divine gift bestowed to women. The connection between a mother and her children is often defined as an enduring link that cannot be replaced by any other relationship. However, in truth, this state is sometimes diminished and used as a powerful means by which to assess women as inferior, and as a product of societal constructs. Multiple instances provide evidence of the continued occurrence of marital rape, the maltreatment of women, and the presenceof rebellious offspring. Nevertheless, mothersshould be shown the proper respect and gratitude. This study examines the complex depiction of motherhood in Toni Morrison‘s Beloved, from a feminist perspective. The study explores the impact of slavery on the formation of maternal expectations and the difficulties encountered by Black mothers in safeguarding their children. The study centres on character of Sethe, a former enslaved woman, whose resolute love for her children motivates her behavior throughout the novel. Hermaternal instincts serve as both a reservoir of strengthand as a trigger for her decisions, illuminating the intricate and sometimes paradoxical essence of motherhood. The noveltherebyquestions conventional ideas about motherhood, illustrating how cultural norms and historical subjugation caninfluence a mother‘s approach to her responsibilities. The narrative of Sethe highlights the tenacity of African American women in the midst of hardship, whilst also revealing the profound psychological wounds inflicted by slavery. The study posits that Beloved presents a compelling criticism of the prevailing myths regarding motherhood, elucidating the distinct challenges and achievements experienced by Black mothers in a society characterized by racism and oppression. The work invites readers to reassess the intricacies of parental affection and the lasting impact of slavery by reframing motherhood from the perspective of Sethe.

Author Name :: Taibu Azah || Wilfred Tarabinah || David Adeyemo
Country :: Uganda
Page Number :: 08-16
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Human Resource Management (HRM) practices on employee performance within selected local governments in Eastern Uganda. The study employed a quantitative approach, utilizing descriptive, survey, and cross-sectional designs on a sample of 336 respondents. The research revealed a positive and significant association between HRM practices and employee performance (r = 0.501, Sig. = 0.000). This implies that enhancing HRM practices can lead to improved employee performance in the region. Regression analysis indicated that approximately 42.1% of the variability in employee performance can be attributed to variations in HRM practices. The association was highly significant (Sig. < 0.05), and the overall regression model was statistically significant (F = 42.775). Specifically, for every one-unit increase in HRM practices, employee performance is expected to increase by approximately 0.613 units. Based on these findings, the study recommends the following: Invest in HR Practices: Local governments in Eastern Uganda should prioritize effective HR practices, including recruitment, training, performance appraisal, and employee development; Training and Development: Implement regular training programs to enhance employees’ skills and competencies; and Performance Appraisal Systems: Establish robust performance appraisal systems to provide constructive feedback.

The development of modern science, separated from religious values, has raised various human problems. To address these issues, Muslim thinkers and scientists have attempted to integrate secular knowledge originating from the West with religious (Islamic) knowledge and values, a process known as the Islamization of science. One such effort involves integrating Islamic values into science through the educational process. This integration can be done explicitly through the curriculum or implicitly through the learning process. Explicitly, value integration can be carried out separately, connected, or integrated with scientific material. Implicitly, it involves a specially designed learning process that instills certain values into students' souls alongside the achievement of learning outcomes.

Paper Title :: An Empirical Study of Behavioral Finance Related to Investor’s Investment Decision
Author Name :: Viraaj Kakkar
Country :: India
Page Number :: 51-57
The stock market, a crucial component of the financial system, allows investors to buy and sell publicly traded company shares. It serves as a barometer for the economy, reflecting the performance and growth of businesses. The introduction of the Liberalization, Privatization, and Globalization (LPG) model has significantly improved the condition of the stock market. This model has facilitated economic reforms, leading to an increase in the rate of return on investments compared to traditional fixed deposits. As a result, more individuals are participating in the stock market, contributing to economic growth and an increase in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).The rise in stock market participation has elevated the importance of understanding behavioral finance, which examines the psychological factors influencing investors' financial decisions. Unlike traditional finance, which assumes that investors are rational and markets are efficient, behavioral finance acknowledges that investors often make decisions based on emotions and biases. This understanding is crucial today as it helps identify patterns and inconsistencies in investment behavior, thereby improving investment strategies and outcomes.
This research paper explores the various factors affecting investors' investment decisions within the behavioral finance framework. It delves into how emotions, biases, and psychological influences can lead to irrational decision-making, impacting the overall efficiency of the stock market. The study aims to provide insights into how behavioral finance can be leveraged to understand better and predict investor behavior, ultimately leading to more informed and effective investment decisions. This paper explores how behavioral finance influences investment decisions and their impact on the financial market. This paper depicts the change in the trend of behavioral finance in Indian investors and the selection of investment decisions along with factors affecting it.

The goals of the new global education system and the expectations placed on students have been shaped to ensure that individuals can succeed in a rapidly changing world, and countries have developed various reforms and strategies to integrate 21st century skills into the education system. Abstraction is a thinking process that enables individuals to derive general principles or concepts from specific information and experiences. This process is crucial for the development of 21st century skills such as problem solving, critical thinking and creative thinking. In particular, the RBC+C abstraction model stands out as an effective tool for deepening mathematical thinking. The RBC+C model helps students to develop abstract thinking skills while showing how these skills can be used in practical applications.
The RBC+C abstraction model is an important building block in transformation geometry lesson plans because it provides an effective approach to deepening students' understanding of geometric transformations. This study consists of daily lesson plans created to gain an in-depth understanding of how middle school students construct transformation geometry knowledge, the difficulties they encounter in the process of constructing knowledge, the paths they follow in the learning process, and their abstraction processes. The implementation of the daily lesson plans created in the study by the teachers will allow an in-depth examination of the processes of secondary school students' construction of transformation geometry knowledge, the paths and experiences they follow in the learning process, the difficulties they encounter in the process of knowledge construction, and the abstraction process to be carried out more effectively, and therefore the subject of transformation geometry or the concepts of reflection and translation in mathematics teaching will provide faster learning.

Paper Title :: Sexuality and Intimacy Policies among Assisted Living Residents: Balancing Safety and Protection
Author Name :: Josephine Misaro || Faith Olasunkanmi
Country :: United States
Page Number :: 97-108
The topic of sexuality and intimacy in assisted living (AL) communities, especially among residents with dementia, presents complex and sensitive challenges. As the elderly population grows, an increasing number of older adults, including those with cognitive impairments, are moving into AL communities. These environments are designed to foster independence while providing necessary care, creating a unique context for addressing the sexual and intimacy needs of residents. Sexuality is a fundamental aspect of human experience, significantly contributing to overall well-being and quality of life. For residents with dementia, cognitive decline, physical limitations, and changing social dynamics can profoundly impact their ability to express and fulfill sexual needs, while their rights to autonomy and intimate relationships remain uncertain. AL staff play a critical role in negotiating these needs, balancing protection with the residents' safety. Policies and procedures in AL communities significantly influence how administrators and staff manage residents' sexuality and intimacy. This study explores the policies and procedures that AL staff use regarding the sexual needs of residents with dementia. Through semi-structured interviews with 22 respondents, including top management, middle management, and direct care workers (DCWs), the study analyzed the impact of AL policies on residents' sexual autonomy. Findings reveal that lack of formal policies leads to case-by-case management of residents' sexual needs, heavily influenced by staff attitudes, work experience, and family concerns. Themes such as family involvement, training, experience, consent, and informal policies emerged as both bridges and barriers to intimacy. The study underscores the need for well-defined policies and training to support staff in balancing safety and protection.

Community welfare is a dream for all countries, including Indonesia. A prosperous society will describe a prosperous country. One way to improve welfare is by obtaining significant funding for development. One way to get this funding is by issuing SBSN. The issuance of SBSN must have a clear legal basis, both from the Al Quran, Hadith, Fiqhiyyah Rules, the opinion of the clergy, and the Law. Based on the literature study, it is known that the issuance of SBSN is by the fundamental Islamic law, both the Qur'an, Hadith, fiqhiyah principles, and the opinion of scholars. DSN-MUI has issued six fatwas regarding SBSN. Furthermore, there is the SBSN Law No. 19 of 2008.Funds generated from the issuance of SBSN by the government can be used for infrastructure development throughout Indonesia. Developments carried out with SBSN funds include the construction of railroads, roads, and bridges. With this development, the distribution will be smoother. SBSN funds are also used to build educational buildings. With more and better educational buildings, the quality of public education will increase. By increasing the level of public education, the opportunity to enter the world of work will be higher. SBSN also has a strategic function, namely expanding the basis of the Islamic financial market, creating benchmarks in the Islamic financial market, and diversifying the investor base.

The present study explored the comparative effects of using Shaad application as online learning versus face-to-face teaching on EFL students‘ vocabulary learning. To perform this, 30 ninth grade high school students as the members of Shaad/experimental groups who werenon-randomly selected from Somayeh high school in Neyshabur, Iran. In addition, the second class of participants was 30 ninth grade students as the members of traditional/control group who receive the instruction through face-to-face teaching. The next step was to administer the treatment. To do this, the researcher taught the teaching materials through the use of Shaad application. Based on the lesson plan, the learners in Shaad group were taught the vocabulary instruction. The experimental group received the teaching material through the use of Shaad application while the learners in the control group received the instruction through face-to-face interaction. Having finished the treatment, the learners in both groups were given the vocabulary posttest. Obtained results revealed that Shaad application as online learning did not have statistically significant effect on EFL students' vocabulary learning. On the other hand, face-to-face instruction did have statistically significant effect on the students' vocabulary learning. In other words, there was significant difference between the vocabulary learning of EFL students exposed to traditional teaching and those who exposed to Shaad instruction. Implications of the study suggested that teaching vocabulary through traditional classes could enhance the EFL learners' vocabulary learning. It could be concluded that the suitable conditions for the e-learning were not prepared in Iranian public educational context.

This paper explores the influence of Ancient Greek religion on Neoplatonism, a major philosophical system that emerged in the third century CE. By examining the theological and metaphysical transitions from Greek polytheism to Neoplatonic monism, this study highlights how Neoplatonism adapted and transformed religious concepts from Greek mythology, cosmology, and ritual practice. The paper argues that Neoplatonism represents a synthesis of Greek religious traditions and philosophical abstraction, reflecting both continuity and innovation in the understanding of the divine, the cosmos, and human spirituality.
